| Winter Training Camp |
The Annual Winter Joint Dojo Training Camp conducted by Sensei Anand Ratna will be held in Mumbai.
The Instruction at the camp will be based on what was taught at the International Autumn Camp at the JKA Headquarters. There will also be a Technical Seminar for those attempting the Instructor and Judge Licences
Details of the camp are given below:

Ratna Sensei awarded Special Rights as Technical Qualifications Examiner |

| Anand Ratna Sensei our Chief Instructor became the first Non Japanese JKA Instructor in the World to be awarded the special rights for conducting Technical Qualification Licence Examination, when he passed the requisite examinations conducted by the JKA Headquarters during the recently concluded Autumn Camp at the JKA Honbu in Japan. Along with Saeki Sensei of Canada and Nishimura Sensei of Australia, (both of whom are Japanese), he was in the first group of 3 JKA Instructors outside of the JKA Headquarters to be awarded these rights outside of Japan. The Special Rights are being awarded to Qualified Instructors by the JKA Headquarters, to enable countries to have more qualified instructors and judges. Sensei said that the Special Rights would enable him conduct the Technical Seminar and Technical examnations around the country whenever a state requested such an event to be held . Congratulations Sensei, we are proud of you. |

| Anand Ratna Sensei our Chief Instructor passed the requisite examination for the Special Rights for conducting Dan Examinations that were conducted during the recently concluded Autumn Camp at the JKA Headquarters . His Special Rights were upgraded to enable him conduct Dan Examinations up to the level of San Dan or the 3rd Degree Black Belt.. Congratulations Sensei. |

| Summer Joint Training Camp in Mumbai - April 2012 |
Sensei Anand Ratna, Chief Instructor for India will be conducting the Dadar Dojo Annual Summer Camp on the 22nd 23rd and 24th April 2011. The Camp is open to all JKA India Members.
The last date for acceptance of Camp Participation forms from outstation participants is the 15th of April 2011.
Venue : Dr. S. Radhakrishna Sarvepalli Vidyalaya, Sunder Nagar, Next to Dalmia College, Malad (W), Mumbai 400062.
Dates : 20th, 22nd, and 23rd April 2012
Timing : 10AM to 12Noon & 2PM to 4PM
Gradings will be held up to the rank of JKA Nidan.

| Bhagyashri Khot retains State Titles in Mumbai |
| Like Dojo Instructor C. Shetty who in January in Goa, won the National Kumite title this year in his 40s, Ms. Bhagyashri Khot once again proved that age is not a barrier for participation when she won the Women's Open Kata and Kumite titles at the 29th All Maharashtra State Championships which were held at the Mumbai University Indoor Stadium in Mumbai on the 17th & 18th of December 2011. She was the lone participant from the Dadar Dojo in the Adults category. All the other adults from the dojo were officiating. Other members from the Dadar Dojo who participated in the kyu level events also did well with quite a few of them winning Medals. All the Black Belts who represented the Dadar Dojo in the Children's category (under 16) won Gold Medals in Kata (Abhishek Khandagale) and Kumite (Abhishek Chavan). Congratulations to all of them. This years All Maharashtra Tournament had nearly 800 entries. Sensei Anand Ratna our Chief Instructor was the Chief Judge for the Tournament. |

Sensei Anand Ratna, Head Instructor for India will be conducting the Dadar Dojo Annual Summer Camp on the 22nd 23rd and 24th April 2011. The Camp is open to all JKA India Members.

| All members of the Dadar Dojos are requested to attend the National Camp of the JKA India as the expected Guest Instructors are The Chief Instructor of the JKA Shuseki Shihan Ueki Masaaki and the 2nd Instructor is Nemoto Keisuke who is the current All Japan Kumite Champion. The 28th National Championships will also be the selection of the shortlist for the World ShotoCup and dojo members who have in the past won thier events at the State or National level areadvised to take part in the 2011 Championship. | Winter Joint Training Camp for Dadar Dojos |
The Annual Winter Training Camp for the Dadar Dojos was conducted in Mumbai by Sensei Anand Ratna on the 17th, 18th & 19th Dec. 2010 at the
BCS Andheri(E) & the Andheri Sports Complex Indoor Stadium. This instruction at the camp was the content taught to Sensei Ratna during the 2010 Autumn International Camp at the JKA Honbu Dojo. The camp which was also open to all JKAI dojos was well attended and had Instructors and students from other dojos in Maharashtra, Goa & Gujarat. All outstation participants were lodged at the Andheri Sports Complex Hostel. The Annual Dinner for the Instructors at the end of the Camp was held near the Main Dojo in Dadar.
Special attention was paid to those giving their Dan grading under Ueki Shihan next year. A referee clinic was held on the last day.
Grading for JKA Kyu & Dan up to Ni Dan was held on 19th December 2010.

| Dadar Dojo students do well in All Style District Championships |
| All participants from the Dadar Dojos including those from the dojos at the BCG Group of schools did well in the District Level Championships held by the MKA. Most of the members will be participating in the State Meet to be held in Pune in mid January 2011. |

| JKA HQ upgrades Anand Sensei 's Special Rights Examiner level |
Our Chief Instructor, Sensei Anand Ratna renewed his Special Rights Examiner by passing the necessary examination conducted by the JKA Headquarters. His level was upgraded by the Examination Panel which consisted of Ueki Shihan Chief Instructor JKA , Tanaka shihan Dy Chief Instructor JKA, Osaka shihan Dy. Chief Instructor JKA, Imura Shihan Executive Dir JKA and Kawawada Shihan.
Sensei Ratna can now conduct JKA Black Belt Examinations upto the level of Ni Dan Grade . The Special Rights Examiner's certifcate was awarded to Sensei Ratna by the Ueki Shihan Chief Instructor of the JKA during a presentation at the Closing ceremony of the International Masters Autumn Camp at the JKA Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan in October 2010. | Shetty opens dojo in Bengaluru |
| Former National Champion, Chattrapathi Shivaji Puraskar awardee & permananet instructor of the Dadar Dojo, Chandrashekar Shetty who moved to Bengaluru about 2 years ago has opened a dojo there with the help of Mr. Ravi Nayak and others. We are sure that he will produce students who will emulate his feats and wish him every success in his efforts. |

Summer Joint Training Camp for Dadar Dojos |
| The Annual Summer Training Camp for the Dadar Dojos was conducted in Mumbai by Sensei Anand Ratna on the 20th, 21st & 22nd April at the
Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Vidyalaya in
Malad upon returning from attending the 2010 Spring Masters International Training Camp at the JKA Honbu Dojo. The training was also open to other dojos and around 100 trainees took part in the Gasshuku. Emphasis was on the aspect of using the support leg for movement in Kihon, Kata and Kumite. The first day covered the basics and the Heian katas 1,2, 3 & 4 with applications being done with partner drills and basic Kihon Kumite slowly progressing to Jiyu Ippon and then to Jiyu Kumite. Day 2 covered the Heian kata 5 and Tekki shodan and the Kata Kanku Dai. Here again in order to understand the movement better, partner drills were asked to be performed for various movements. The afternoon session had katas Meikyo and Chinte being taught and finally ending the day with some kumite. Day three was devoted to the grading syllabus for kyu and Dan grade.
Grading for JKA kyu Level and JKA Shodan was held on 22nd April. Outstation participants were lodged at the Andheri Sports Complex. Special Thanks to the Prinicpal and Staff of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Vidyalaya,
Malad for their cooperation in helping the conduct of the camp and providing various facilities to the participants. |

Anand Sensei awarded Special Rights Examiner status |
| our Chief Instructor, Sensei Anand Ratna was conferred with the Title of Special Rights Examiner by the JKA Headquarters. With this qualification, Sensei Ratna can conduct JKA Dan Grade Examination. The certifcate was awarded to Sensei Ratna by the Chairman of the JKA during a presentation ceremony at the International Masters Camp at the JKA Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan in October 2008. He is the first Non Japanese Asian to be awarded this title by the JKA. We are proud of you Sensei. |

Mid Term Training Camp 22nd, 23rd & 24th October 2008 |
| Sensei Anand Ratna will be conducting the Dadar Dojo's Annual Mid Term Camp on the above dates at the Bombay Cambridge School, Andheri East. Sensei who has just returned after attending the Autumn Master's Camp at the JKA Headquarters will also be conducting grading upto JKA Shodan on the 24th of October. Only a limited number of students are being admitted for the camp. Last date for registration is 20th October 2008. |

DOJOS JOINT SUMMER TRAINING CAMP |
The Dadar dojo conducted it's Summer Joint Training camp at the Bombay University Indoor Sports Pavilion. from the 26th of April to the 28th of April 2008. The main instructor for the camp was Sensei Anand Ratna.
This year a number of outstation trainees attended the camp. A total of 5 training sessions were held. The emphasis was on proper usage of musculature during kihon. Most of the trainees were black belts. Advanced Kihon Kumite leading to Jiyu kumite was also taught on the second day. The Sentei Gata taught during the camp were Tekki Nidan and Gankaku. Photos |

| Divya Revankar, our dojo instructor at the DSR schools retained her below 48kgs Women's Individual kumite title as well as the Women's Open Weight Category Individual kumite titles in grand style. Divya also took the 2nd place in the Individual Kata Event. in the Mumbai University Championships for the year 2007-2008 held at Ulhasnagar on the 16th March 2008. |
Divya Revankar retains National Kumite Title |
| Divya Revankar, our dojo instructor at the DSR schools retained her Women's Individual kumite title in grand style by defeating arch rival Linza Syiem from Meghalaya in the finals of the 25th JKA All India Senior Karate Championships held at the Andheri Sports Complex from the 31st January & 1st February 2008.Divya also took the 2nd place in the Individual Kata Event. Manish Jadli claimed the 3rd place in the Men's Individual Kata Event and Surendra Tiwari along with Amar Yadav and Akshay Vernekar took the 2nd spot in both Team Kata and the first place in the Team Kumite Event. |
